Spring is just around the corner, and we’d love to see you at our upcoming AGM. This year we have an additional item on the agenda: the committee’s request to extend the tenure of the current President, John Sexton, for one year, for reasons outlined in the Notice of Motion that has been distributed to all current financial members and available for download by clicking here.
After the business side of the meeting is over, Acting Director Jennifer Storer will bring us up to date with what’s happening at TMAG and plans for the coming year.
We will then welcome Elspeth Wishart, TMAG’s Senior Curator, History, to talk to us about the newly acquired Patricia Dukes Collection of Antarctic and Arctic equipment. Our winter newsletter carried a story about this, and now you have the chance to hear more about the collection, and the part that the Friends have played in the process of acquisition.
In conclusion, there will be drinks and nibbles with the new committee.
