The Friends of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery cordially invite you to visit the Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts.
Allport Librarian Caitlin Sutton will speak about the Allport family and the collections that they bequeathed to the people of Tasmania: fine and rare books, colonial works of art, eighteenth and early nineteenth century furniture, silver, glass, fine china and objects d'art.
And there's an added bonus. The current temporary exhibition at the Allport is Memento Mori: Art, Medicine and the Body, and artist Lauren Black will speak to us about her work, which explores both western and eastern medical traditions.
Space is limited, so please RSVP without delay.
Members $20, non-members $25, including refreshments.
