One of the many highlights of this year’s TEMPEST exhibition at TMAG will be a production of the play The Tempest by William Shakespeare presented at TMAG by Hobart’s Blue Cow Theatre Company.
The production will be directed by well-known Hobart theatre personality and raconteur, Robert Jarman, and he will be guest speaker at “Staging The Tempest”. The play will be presented in Prospero’s Library, aka the TMAG Central Gallery, and Robert’s talk will be an explanation of how the play will be staged in that space, using the inherent theatricality which has been revealed in the process of converting the Central Gallery into Prospero’s Library for the Tempest Exhibition.
The Friends of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery cordially invite you to come along to hear Robert in an entertaining and insightful prelude to the staging of Shakespeare’s play at TMAG in late October and early November.
