You are invited to join us for a floor talk featuring the work of Deborah Wace, botanical artist and fabric designer. We will watch The Fabric of Botany by Joe Shemesh, a documentary which covers Deborah’s Artist in Residency at Recherche Bay in Far South Tasmania and her 2017/18 Churchill Fellowship to study the early French botanical historical collections from Tasmania, held in herbaria in Europe.
Following the video viewing Deborah will show us some of her fabric designs based on this research and she will be available to answer questions and talk about her artwork.
