Bond Store repairs
If you have been to TMAG recently you might have noticed some scaffolding and a lot of activity around the Bond Store. So, what’s going on?
TMAG’s property portfolio includes some of the most significant heritage buildings in the State and the Tasmanian Government has provided funding for some projects to protect these important heritage buildings. These works include replacing the slate roof of the Bond Store and re-rendering its exterior to preserve the historic brickwork.
Boring? No way! Find out why it took over 6 months to make the lime render. And you should see some of the relics they found on the roof — at least we now know what people had for lunch 200 years ago!
Come along to hear what’s being done from the people doing the work.
The talk will be presented by Simon Munn, Project Manager, Major Projects, and he will be accompanied by project architect Lucy Burke-Smith, Associate Partner Purcell, and James Barker, co-owner of Heritage & Slate Roofing Hobart.
This is a FREE EVENT and you are welcome to bring non-member friends.
