Through our eyes:
A woman’s place is in Antarctica
The exhibition Through our eyes brings the southernmost continent, commonly understood as far away and isolated, closer to a large audience through an imaginative multi-media installation focussed on women and their personal and professional relationship with Antarctica.
This event shines the light on the unique perspectives and contributions offered by women who work in Antarctica and the Antarctic and Southern Ocean sector. Through our eyes invites the audience to experience women’s Antarctic landscapes in a way that simply says ‘A Woman’s Place is in Antarctica’.
Karen Rees, Convenor of the Antarctic Women’s Network, will speak at our Friends event, and we will also hear from some of the women whose work is featured in the exhibition. We will then visit the Bond Store to see the exhibition in their company.
