Gay Hawkes: Seaborne
This evening event will feature a talk by Patricia Cleveland, long-time friend of Gay Hawkes, nationally respected furniture maker, sculptor and teacher, whose delightfully intimate exhibition Seaborne is currently on display at Narryna. Gay Hawkes pioneered the use of found materials such as horizontal scrub, driftwood, and shipping pallets in her furniture. This is a great opportunity to view the exhibition and hear about an accomplished Tasmanian artist from one of her close friends in the Tasmanian arts community.
